THE ARCHIVES · ALMANAC & HISTORY

The Archives

The historical repository of the Expanse — the seven-phase chronology, the geographic survey, societal lore, and the foundational documents of a world run on Math: the Universal Equations, the system the entity Exile became so that gravity, stability, and time would hold, still balanced by the Initial God against everything that pushes back.

F.C.N.C. Deep Archive · Historical Chronology

Chronology of the Expanse

Seven phases of filed history, compiled from the in-universe timeline and the Master Dossier. The I.C.U. keeps relative chronology — events are placed by era sequence, not calendar dates.

Phase 1 · Before Time

The Creation Era

Cosmic dawn and baseline physics. At the Big Bang, the Burning Book of Tongues is born — the “Pre-Symbolic Tongue,” the source code of reality — and the Mathians achieve consciousness at the same microsecond, freezing their home reality in eternal white geometry. The Starforgers forge the stars and reality's frame. A'riot, Architect of Chaos and Creation, forges the Initialman. Then Exile — a Tier 1 Unscalable cosmic entity — dissolves her consciousness to become the fundamental physical laws: gravity, stability, time. Every law now runs on Math, the Universal Equations, balanced by the Initial God through Conceptual Augmentation. Exile's Earth forms: a 30,000-mile Super-Earth under three suns. The Chronicle God coalesces from the void her sacrifice leaves behind.

Phase 2 · The Old World

The Heavy Era

The heavy world: hyper-dense biology is the baseline, and anyone with powers is an Old World Hero — a designation, not a moral title. Over 100,000 powered beings walk the world; the 800 greatest are its elite, and the Celestial Watch numbers 17 Archangels. The primordial Dynamic — life, change, movement — runs in Old World marrow. Then the Catalyst Event: the Old World Hero Elias pries the Book open; it devours him and rebuilds him as Arconkni, its Tier 2 Interface. The Tier 0 shockwave brands the 45 Symbols of Fate worldwide and forges the Book's Hardware. Tonto, the Last Star Builder, wielding the Locket of Souls, is consumed into the road itself — becoming the Tonto Highway to break Vilestate's isolation. Beneath the Mosey Creek Ruins, the BBOT lies dormant, awake but trapped, waiting for a biological anchor.

Phase 3 · The Century-Long War

The Mathian Era

The Mathian War: absolute stagnation against the Dynamic, for a hundred years. Exile's Earth is the Mathians' 10,081st Calculation — the cosmic chain numbers it Reality 10,080. Early in the war, November's secret tears the angel who becomes Dark Goliath away to fall and conquer the abyss. In the final decade, the 8 surviving Archangels enact the forbidden Celestial Ascendance Ritual — the Wave of 800, mortal champions forged into temporary Tier 3 weapons for the last seven days. The Starbringer Protocol passes Uriel's Tier 1 Spark of Creation into the mortal Brandon Bruce. Victory: the surviving heroes, acting as the Anvil, push the Mathian host into the exiled universe of Emiton. The cost: 100,000+ heroes down to roughly 100 survivors, 17 Archangels down to 8, 18 billion dead — 75% of the baseline population. The Biological Lightening follows; the heavy world ends. The wounded herald Kharos falls into the Vitreous Depths to recover for millennia.

Phase 4 · Post-War

The Age of Blood and Magic

A power vacuum: no great cities, no law. The surviving hundred Old World Heroes die off, vanish, or enter stasis while warlords, proto-corporations, and blood-covens fight over the scraps. On the Night of Ash, High Inquisitor Marius's Crusade of Purity burns the Sanctum of the Silver Vow; the youngest archivist, Sister Clara, barricades herself in the Vault of History as the molten silver ink fuses with her body — and Initiah, the Forsaken Nun, walks out of the ashes. Initiah alone faces the rampaging Titan Jienoes, then draws the Scripture of the Dormant Titan and becomes his eternal jailer beneath Mosey Creek. The young Marianne Wiket — later Mother Wicked — founds the coven the age is remembered by: the Woven. This is the era of Mavadey primordial magic: life force, blood, iron, absolute sacrifice.

Phase 5 · The Convergence

The Bridge to Alliance Era

The long bridge out of the ashes. The age of wandering warlords and blood-covens burns itself down, and the scattered factions of a broken world begin converging — underground first, then openly — toward alliance, order, and something that can hold a 30,000-mile planet together. Out of that convergence come the foundations everything modern stands on: the great cities planned on the ruins, the proto-corporations consolidating into monopolies, and — decades before the present day — Lazarus Cane founds the 7th Empire, a secret council of seven who will come to own the system itself. The Empire predates the catastrophe that lets it seize the world; it simply waits for one.

Phase 6 · Decades Ago → Present

The Corporation Era

The great cities rise on the ashes of the Age of Blood and Magic: Victory City built over the buried ruins of Metrokast, Lincoln City, Soy Mecca, Mecca Prime, and the rest. The corporate trinity takes the world — Neo-Tokyo Tech runs the screens, Axion Fleet Group runs the roads, AeroChem Consumer Goods runs the air — while the F.C.N.C. becomes the dominant media monopoly and the G.Z.I. stands up as the world's main police force — a branch in every city, all of them sharing information with each other, handling trouble before it ever escalates to superheroes. Then the Bru'nill Massacre: the deadliest single-day catastrophe in modern history, a total cover-up, and a government mutated into a paranoid fortress — exactly the paranoia the 7th Empire exploits to consolidate control. The Null Vault is constructed beneath it all: four sectors of supermax for the threats the new world keeps making.

Phase 7 · The Present Day

The Era of Now

The modern Expanse. The Emiton Crisis: Borgol tears a rift above the Tonto Highway, Glizzy Nighthawk seals it at the cost of being pulled into Emiton, and Brandon Bruce erupts to Tier 1, defeats the Vampire of Doomsday — and exiles himself to deep space, leaving Panascis as Earth's primary protector. The Void Surge is in progress now: Broken Jehovah has shattered the Veil, Willowbrook is occupied, and the Survivors race for the Wellspring. Over it all sits Volume 1: every modern story unfolding simultaneously inside a single 48-hour global window, stitched together by F.C.N.C. broadcasts. This is the present day.

Exile's Earth — a planet run on Math

The Mechanics

  • Planetary scale: a Super-Earth spanning 30,000 miles in diameter, bridged by the gargantuan Tonto Highway.
  • Gravity is a sacrifice: the cosmic entity Exile gave herself up to become the foundational laws of gravity.
  • The Math: all physical laws run on the Universal Equations. The Initial God uses Conceptual Augmentation to balance them against existential threats.
  • The corruption: the Burning Book of Tongues, a parasitic artifact, is corrupting the Earth's core. It resides in the Red Core Cave — with Arconkni, Mahbudah, and the inner circle who stay close to it.

Planetary Weather

Weather on Exile's Earth is planetary-scale energy discharge, not meteorology:

  • Null-Cycles — vortexes of void-matter that act as structural erasers.
  • Prismatic Fronts — ionized, glowing precipitation.
  • Static Ribbons — bands that cause massive EMPs.
  • Void-Tides (Gravity Shears) — oceanic surges driven by gravity itself.

Relics Carry Consequences

Artifacts in the I.C.U. are brutal, not generous. The Mirror of Tail Tethrai — currently held by Grude — does not steal souls: it forcefully severs a target's abilities. If the wielder cannot handle the captured energy, it triggers a violent internal implosion.

The Gravity Grimoire is a cosmic-grade artifact and storage matrix, the physical conduit for the power of Hality — built in 1968 by master luthier Hyvice Cillko with meteorite-alloy strings. Its current wielder is Kershawn, and playing it exacts a symbiotic DNA toll.

The Burning Book of Tongues resides in the Red Core Cave — kept with Arconkni, its Interface, Mahbudah, and the inner circle who stay close to the Book.

The Triple-Sun Horizon

Amber

One of the three suns bathing Exile's Earth.

Violet

Shifting alignments dictate ecological hostility — most notably during the aggressive Violet Hour.

Azure

The third sun. Three suns, three shadows, one volatile sky.

The Power System — Two Axes

Every entity is measured twice. Tiers say how much power comes out. Categories say where it came from. Neither number implies the other.

Tiers · Output (strength)
Tier −2The Premise — held by Initi, the unwritten origin the scale itself hangs from.
Tier −1The anomaly outside standard classification — Blair, the library every story is checked out from.
Tier 0Primordial, god-level.
Tier 1Cosmic architects and universal constants.
Tier 2Cosmic / planetary.
Tier 3Interstellar / system scale.
Tier 4Continental / tectonic.
Tier 5Nuclear / urban.
Tier 6Superhuman / elite.
Tier 7Street-level.
Categories · Origin (how they got it)
Category 1Initial Beings — cosmic blueprints / pillars.
Category 2Hosts — living vessels for external entities.
Category 3Enhanced — transhuman / modified mortals; the Cascade-Born and the science-altered.
Category 4Hybrids — mixed species / realms. Its apex expression is the Apex Hybrid: biological + parasitic + technological synthesis.
Category 5Full Blooded — uncorrupted purebreds.
Category 6Enchanted — power via profound transformative connection. Havana is the defining instance.
Category 7Constructed — manufactured beings.
Category 8Zitch — absolute baseline civilians. The unpowered majority who run the world.
Filed ruling — the Tier-5 floor: the Old World Heroes were everyone who had powers during the Old World; the 800 were the greatest of that broad class, and the Tier-5 floor follows their designation. Baseline humans can still be Cascade-Born — if the Cascade hits around birth, or in the womb.

The Map — Theaters of Operation

The Urban Shell

  • Victory City — protected by Reign, the hero behind the scenes; built over the subterranean ruins of Metrokast.
  • Soy Mecca — the industrial entertainment epicenter: The Receipt flagship, Omni-Vision's Mythic Cinema, and the Sizzle and Slush chain (born in Sizzle Springs).
  • Mecca Prime — the luxury spire, home to music titan Mosaic Frequencies.
  • Lincoln City (Ground Zero) — a decaying metropolis and active disaster zone; home to the Fuller Estate, which sits above the Amethyst Reaper's tomb.
  • Sprocket City — industrial sprawl hiding Dr. Breakage and Sledge-Works in the Undercity.
  • Libic City — the City of Records, one of Baseline's main bases. “Live big city.”

Sovereign & Isolated Territories

  • Aftorah & Goldivory — the smallest, unmapped island, routinely omitted from world maps; hiding the Sanctuary of Queen Asylum.
  • Niveridia — a massive, cursed island governed by Matriarch Astea.
  • Kenayvy (The Golden Wasteland) — a geothermal southern continent shielded by the Sirocco Veil.
  • Polaris — the frozen city of the Vitreous Depths, where the Cryo Kraken rose and froze a continent: the Kraken Freeze.

Getting Around a Super-Earth

Distances are immense, so transit is city-level, not planetary — every major city runs its own authority (VCTA in Victory City, SMTA in Soy Mecca, SCTA in Sprocket City), usually contracting Axion Fleet Group for rolling stock. Planetary freight runs through the government-controlled Expanse Logistics Hub (ELH) — and over the Tonto Highway.

The Powers That Be

World Government & the 7th Empire

The World Government is the public face — taxation, Aspire Hospital City. The 7th Empire is the Shadow Giant behind it, steering reality through total media control. At the apex sits the Office of the Avourian (Avourian James-Hyphen), directly controlling StitchForge Dynamics, VitaDense Labs, Ironveil Armaments, and the Expanse Logistics Hub.

Corporate Pillars

  • Neo-Tokyo Tech (NTT) — runs System-A, the universal OS.
  • AeroChem Consumer Goods (ACG) — air and water filtration.
  • Axion Fleet Group (AFG) — private transit.
  • Ground Zero Construction — profits pouring “hero-resistant” concrete.
  • Omni-Vision Studios — blockbuster distractions.

Agencies & Shadows

The G.Z.I. (Global Zenith Initiative) is the main police force around the world — far more than an intel hub. Every city has a G.Z.I. branch (Sprocket City G.Z.I., Timon City G.Z.I., and the rest), and the branches share information with each other, so each one knows what's going on across the whole map. The G.Z.I. is the first line: they handle things before it escalates to superheroes. One limit stands: they do not raid ancient magical tombs — that's outside their lane. The C.F.A. (Celestial Frontier Agency) operates under the public cover name “Central Federal Authority.” In the shadows: the ShadowNet Commerce smuggling ring, the brutal Sledge-Works Faction, the Gilded Grift of St. Nick City, and occult groups like the Eternal Army and the Syzygy Shadow Coven.

The Bru'nill Massacre

A utopian city inauguration that ended in annihilation, when a dying curse summoned the ethereal entity Cythera — drawing apex predators like Ithaca, the Blood-Drinker, who blinded thermal sensors with a 30°F temperature drop and slaughtered the Secret Guard. Avourian James-Hyphen was permanently disfigured protecting his daughter Brill; his wife was killed. The city was buried, all records scrubbed, and the government mutated into an unyielding, paranoid fortress.

Geography & Realms

Structural nodes of a 30,000-mile world — the filed survey of cities, frontiers, and realms.

The Cities

  • Sprocket City — industrial sprawl; Sledge-Works and Dr. Breakage in the Undercity; the C.F.A. hunts fugitives in its streets.
  • Lincoln City (Ground Zero) — decaying metropolis and active disaster zone; the Fuller Estate sits above the Amethyst Reaper's tomb.
  • Timon City (the Corrupted Core) — headquarters of the 7th Empire, on the edge of the Red Core Cave; Voxa holds its skyline. In the Red Core Cave itself resides the Burning Book of Tongues, with Arconkni, Mahbudah, and the inner circle who stay close.
  • Victory City — Reign's shining metropolis, where he works behind the scenes; built over the buried ruins of Metrokast.
  • Soy Mecca — industrial entertainment epicenter: The Receipt flagship, the Mythic Cinema, the Sizzling Slush chain.
  • Mecca Prime — the luxury spire; its commercial hub is The Colossal, the great mall whose night banners carry the pillars themselves — Mosaic Frequencies, Silverstone Bank, NTT, AFG, Omni-Vision, and ACG.
  • Libic City — the City of Records, one of Baseline's main bases. “Live big city.”
  • Niagara Falls — filed on its own entrance stone as “A Landmark of Super-Earth”: the falls thunder on both sides of the monument while the city's spires rise behind it.
  • Aethel-Gard — the Industrial Cliff City, named on its own boundary sign on the cliff road; the filed signage spells the name with its hyphens, exactly as the sign reads below.
  • Dust & Echoes — the corner bookstore of the survey: rain-lit windows, shelves behind fogged glass, and the quietest room on its street.

Section B — Folklore & Unconfirmed Origins

Filed as folklore: in-universe accounts whose origins remain unconfirmed, kept on the record as the citizens tell them.

The Song-Blossom Vine — Dead City of Elar

Competing hypotheses circulate for how the Song-Blossom Vine came to grow in the Dead City of Elar — the Expanse's only fully abandoned city, where no salvage permits are issued and the silence is policy. The archive files the hypotheses side by side and confirms none of them: seed carried on a Prismatic Front, a relic of the Age of Blood and Magic, or something the city grew itself after everyone left. Elar does not answer questions.

The Crystalline Era — Researcher Note

THE REGISTRY · MASTER TECHNICAL DATA

The Registry

The secure database hub of the archive — the inverted power hierarchy, the character roster, factions and agencies, the corporate index, and the power classifications, all as filed. Looking for the timeline and the world survey? They live in The Archives.

Section A — Foundational Physics

Why the table below means anything at all: the laws the output is measured against.

Reality Runs on Math

The physical laws of existence are governed by Math — the Universal Equations. They exist because the cosmic entity Exile dissolved her own form to anchor reality: gravity, stability, and time are her sacrifice, still running. Nothing in the Expanse is exempt from the Equations; power is measured by how much of them an entity can bend before the bill arrives.

The Maintenance & the Threat

The Initial God — the Paragon — maintains the Equations by Conceptual Augmentation, balancing them against everything that pushes back. First among the threats: the Burning Book of Tongues, the Pre-Symbolic Tongue born at the Big Bang, corrupting the Earth's core from the Red Core Cave through its Interface, Arconkni. Every classification in this Registry is filed against that standing emergency.

Section B — The Inverted Hierarchy — Output, Top to Bottom

The Registry stacks power against intuition: read from the Transcendent Anomaly at the top down to street-level at the base. Tier measures output only — where a power came from is the Category axis, filed in the roster filters below. Select any tier to open its filed roster, operational parameters, and the physical toll the tier exacts.

Transcendent Anomaly · Tier −2The Premise, held by Initi — the unwritten origin the scale itself hangs from; a classification that exists outside the standard system.
Tier −1The anomaly outside standard classification — Blair, the library every story is checked out from. The highest thing that still counts as a seat.
Tier 0Primordial, god-level.
Tier 1Cosmic architects and universal constants.
Tier 2Cosmic / planetary.
Tier 3Interstellar / system scale.
Tier 4Continental / tectonic.
Tier 5Nuclear / urban.
Tier 6Superhuman / elite.
Tier 7Street-level — the base of the stack, and where most of the filed Expanse actually lives.
The Cosmic Hierarchy — the Registry's master chart: ten stacked bands of reality from Tier −2, the Supra-Cosmic Void beyond space and time, down through the Archetypal Nexus, the Cosmic Core, Galactic Dominion, Stellar Governance, Planetary Order, Societal Cohesion, and the Urban Interface, to Tier 7 street level — daily survival on a neon city street

Character Roster

The full filed archive — 251 profiles, organized by the filed Category map: 1 Initial Beings · 2 Hosts · 3 Enhanced · 4 Hybrids · 5 Full Blooded · 6 Enchanted · 7 Constructed · 8 Zitch. Tier measures output (strength); Category measures origin (how the power was got). Where the archive files no value, the entry says so — the record is shown as filed, including open flags and struck entries.

Factions & Agencies

Indexed in the three filed blocs of the faction directory — the pillars that hold the world up, the syndicates tearing at it, and the covens working underneath it.

Corporate Pillars & Institutional Blocks

  • F.C.N.C. — First Coverage News Center official logoF.C.N.C. — the supreme foundational pillar; the platform's own perspective, balancing the entire universe.
  • C.F.A. official emblem — the Celestial Frontier AgencyC.F.A. (Celestial Frontier Agency) — operating under the public cover name “Central Federal Authority.”
  • G.Z.I. official emblem — circular badge of the Global Zenith InitiativeG.Z.I. (Global Zenith Initiative) — the main police force around the world. Every city has its own branch — Sprocket City G.Z.I., Timon City G.Z.I., and so on — and the branches share information with each other, so they know what's going on everywhere. They handle things before it escalates to superheroes. They still don't raid ancient magical tombs — that's outside their lane.
  • G.S.A. official emblem — metallic shield badge of the Global Star AgencyG.S.A. (Global Star Agency) — Director Dice Kobie's autonomous intelligence and containment agency, working off-world exploitation and classified operations. Like the C.F.A., it cannot deploy mass assets or access critical budgets without the Avourian's signed authorization — a leash Kobie is constantly trying to slip.
  • Technetium Point (TC Point) — a foundational corporate registry of the Expanse.
  • Clothing from Havana — the fashion house of the Master Weaver, filed as a corporate pillar.
  • The Cosmic Council — governing broader cosmic affairs across planetary systems.
  • CLST (Civil Ladies Strategic Team) — elite tactical organization founded by Suxanna Meijer.
  • Aries Zation — Lazarus Cane's pristine commercial titan; secretly a conduit for demonic resources and black budgets.
  • The Trade-Smiths — manufacturing bloc renowned for ultra-rare, hyper-advanced materials like weaponized nano-wire.

Radical Syndicates & Fringe Sects

  • The Abyss Order — formerly led by Dr. Anne Fuller, usurped by Dr. Paige Brocker; deploys bio-weapons like Experiment Cold.
  • The Noriss Code — secretly bankrolled by corporate dark money.
  • The Spades Syndicate — filed among the radical syndicates of the Expanse.
  • Church of Divine Light — a fringe religious sect operating within the universe's shifting dimensional frequencies.

Secret Societies & Occult Covens

  • The Woven — Mother Wicked's coven, born in the Age of Blood and Magic.
  • The Ashen Disciples — a filed occult order of the deep archive.
  • Order of A'riot — a coven dedicated to the legendary comics god, A'riot.
  • Mirrors of Comill — a secretive society of mimicry and cognitive empathy, tied to the legacy of Kris Comill.
  • Niveridia Elite — a shadow society in the highest, most exclusive tiers of the universe.
  • The Underworld Legions — Dark Goliath & Warkile's Court: an ancient demonic hierarchy engineering societal collapse.
  • Initiah's Original Monastery — the burned order of scripture-bound magic; its sanctuary is ash, its practices still echo.

Section C — Facilities, Networks & Covens

The institutional dossiers behind the roster: where the dangerous are kept, who controls the story, and who works underneath both.

Containment · The Serpent's Cage

  • The Serpent's Cage — the supermax of the Expanse: Tier 1 detainees, Ruth Fuller among them, held under standing green status. No transfer requests approved.
  • The Paradoxicon — the Cage's paradox sector, built for prisoners whose abilities contradict the space they are kept in.
  • The Chronarium — the Cage's time sector, built for detainees whose threat is temporal: what they have done, and what they keep almost doing.
  • Cross-reference: the Cage, the MA 19 Facility, and the four-sector Null Vault are administered as one containment system; their jurisdictional record lives in The Archives.

Intelligence & Narrative · F.C.N.C.

  • First Coverage News Center — the dominant media monopoly and an intelligence network in its own right: it dictates exactly who the public blames when a city block is leveled.
  • Jude Creed — senior desk, broadcasting the official line of the shared 48-hour window.
  • B. Daisy — management desk; the Creed–Daisy broadcast is the glue of Volume 1: the lies aired while the heroes live the truth.
  • Malcolm Cross — filed with the Center's senior personnel in the network dossier.
  • On air: anchors Immah Gray and Robert Price; live host Niveyah Dixey. The Center's feed runs in the Cultural District.

Occult · The Woven

  • The Woven — the coven founded in the Age of Blood and Magic by the young Marianne Wiket, remembered by the age she defined.
  • Mother Wicked — formerly Marianne Wiket: the coven's head, its loom, and its law.
  • Cross-reference: the Woven's historical origins and regional footprint are filed in The Archives, in the Age of Blood and Magic.

Power Classifications

The definitive two-axis system. Tiers measure output — from Tier −2 (the Premise, held by Initi) down to Tier 7 (street-level). Categories measure origin — 1 Initial Beings, 2 Hosts, 3 Enhanced, 4 Hybrids, 5 Full Blooded, 6 Enchanted, 7 Constructed, 8 Zitch. Neither number implies the other; a Tier says how much comes out, a Category says where it came from. The full classification tables live in the The Archives.

The 7 Pillars

The premise: science has gone too far (Abyss), reality is breaking (Glitches), and the old heroes are fading (Starbringer). These seven are the new world order — and all of their stories happen inside the same 48 hours, glued together by the First Coverage News Center: Jude Creed vs. B. Daisy, broadcasting the lies while the heroes live the truth.

Roster change, filed 2026-10-13: Onno, the Primal, held the fifth seat in the original lineup. He works better as a force of nature to stay away from than as a POV protagonist — he remains a raid-boss-level threat in the Glacial Obsidian Fields, but Havana took the seat: she ties into the Old World Heroes directly, into the commercial side, and into politics.

THE BATTLE CHAMBER · COMBAT SIMULATION DECK

The Battle Chamber

The archive's war-gaming deck. Take any two of the 251 filed entities, set the battlefield, and run the deep simulation — full filed kits, escalation states, hard counters, and special win conditions. Every result leaves this deck stamped HYPOTHETICAL.

Expanse Combat Simulator — Deep Ability Analysis · Hypothetical What-Ifs Only

This is not a Tier comparator. The simulator pulls everything filed about both fighters — their full ability lists, weaknesses, fighting style, equipment, and special mechanics — and runs them head-to-head across six axes: offense, defense, speed & mobility, range, stamina, and tactics. It tracks escalation (transformations, rage states, Overdrive, caloric overclocking — some fighters are not the same fighter in minute ten as in minute one), situational factors (battlefield, ambush vs. prep time, power-nullifying fields, energy feeding), hard counters where one filed ability negates another, and special win conditions — stasis triggers, death clocks, and fighters who cannot be killed, only stalled. Tier is one data point in the model, never the verdict by itself. Where a fighter's file is thin, the simulator says so and lowers its confidence instead of inventing abilities. I.C.U. profiles only: no outside legends, no crossovers.

HYPOTHETICAL ONLY — THIS IS A “WHAT IF,” NOT CANON

Versus results here have nothing to do with the ongoing story canon. No result on this page means a fight happened, will happen, or would be written this way in the books. It is a structured hypothetical analysis of filed powers and abilities — nothing more.

Hypothetical What-If Result — Not Canon

HYPOTHETICAL ONLY: this result is a “what if” analysis of filed powers and abilities. It has nothing to do with the ongoing story canon — it does not predict, confirm, or change anything in the books. The Tier scale reads output; Category, equipment, terrain, escalation, and sheer refusal have all beaten the number in the real stories. Where the archive's file on a fighter is thin, the analysis above says so — a thin file means a low-confidence call, not an invented one.

The Public Relations Desk

Standard F.C.N.C. Disclaimers

The First Coverage News Center manages the public narrative of the Expanse, including the public relations of filed assets. F.C.N.C. algorithms curate Pulse feeds; dissenting narratives may be deprioritized in the interest of public calm.

Threat frames, danger ratings, and “glimmer of hope” designations on the Live Dashboard are editorial determinations of the F.C.N.C. and are final.

About This Terminal

The Whistleblower Feed is a work of in-universe fiction: the posters are citizens of the Initial Comics Universe, and their rumors describe filed events of that universe. The Combat Simulator is explicitly hypothetical: it compares filed powers and abilities and declares a hypothetical “what if” winner only — its results have nothing to do with the ongoing story canon and confer no canon outcome on any pairing.

The Master Registry remains the authoritative record. Where this terminal and the Registry disagree, the Registry is correct, and the F.C.N.C. regrets the error in advance.

THE DEPOT · THE RECEIPT — DIGITAL MANIFEST & SUPPLY

The Depot — The Receipt

The supply depot behind The Receipt — the super resource center for the I.C.U., the place to get all the gear, reports, and media — where the 1:1 Consumption Loop runs in logistics language: you don't shop here, you requisition. Add stock to your manifest, then authorize procurement. Access is through a Neo-Tokyo Tech boot sequence, the way every citizen's day begins. The flagship is in Soy Mecca.

CITIZEN ONBOARDING · INTAKE REQUISITION

[ Citizen Registration ]

Not a newsletter sign-up — an intake requisition, filed the way every resident of the Expanse enters the system. Complete the four fields and this terminal issues your citizen file reference, then routes you across the bridge to the About I.C.U. manifesto: the tenets every resident reads before the deep archives.

SESSION DRAFT — this public terminal drafts your requisition for this session only; district intake desks and the Expanse Logistics Hub process the paper originals.

ABOUT I.C.U. · THE MANIFESTO

A Universe That Heroes Live In

The Initial Comics Universe is not a stage heroes perform on. It is a place — a 30,000-mile Super-Earth under three suns, with weather that erases, cities that remember, and laws written in mathematics — and the heroes are the ones passing through it. These are the tenets the archive is built on.

I · The World Is the Main Character

A universe that heroes live in — not heroes that feature a universe. Exile's Earth, its cities, its corporations, its covens and its kitchens were here before any single cape and will outlast them. Stories are checked out of the world; the world is not checked out for the stories.

II · Power Has a Heavy Toll

Every gift in the I.C.U. sends a bill. Exile gave up her selfhood to become gravity. The Gravity Grimoire takes a symbiotic DNA toll from its wielder, Kershawn. The Mirror of Tail Tethrai implodes a wielder who cannot hold what it severs. A Symbol-bearer's Overdrive runs on a 34-hour death clock. Nothing here is free, and the archive files the price next to the power — always.

III · Reality Runs on Math

Soft magic was replaced by strict, mathematical reality. All physical law runs on the Universal Equations; the Initial God balances them by Conceptual Augmentation against the things that would corrupt them — first among them the Burning Book of Tongues, working at the Earth's core. Consequence is the physics.

IV · A League of Its Own

The I.C.U. is self-contained by ruling: no crossovers, no outside legends, no borrowed universes. Its scale is its own — Tiers −2 to 7 for output, Categories 1 to 8 for origin, 45 Symbols of Fate, three suns, one shared 48-hour window stitching Volume 1 together. It answers only to its own filed record.

V · The 1:1 Consumption Loop

What the citizens hold, the fans hold. The apparel is Clothing from Havana. The comics are Declassified Incident Reports. The movies are the ones the characters watch; the games are the exact builds the characters play — requisitioned at The Receipt, through The Depot. Reading the record is participating in it.

Where to Go From Here

New residents start at Citizen Onboarding. Then the deep water: The Registry for every filed entity, The Battle Chamber for hypothetical matchups, The Archives for the seven phases and the world survey, and The Cultural District for the wire as it airs.
